Jeffrey S. Watts

Jeff is a key contributor to our firm's financial planning efforts. Much of Jeff’s work is dedicated to assisting those with employee stock options and concentrated stock positions. Prior to starting the firm, Jeff had been with Merrill Lynch & Co. in Phoenix since 1998 responsible for new business development and overseeing client assets. While at Merrill Lynch, Jeff was recognized as a Wealth Management Advisor specializing in helping high net worth clients develop and implement
sophisticated investment strategies. Jeff has taught numerous
seminars on stock options and concentrated stock strategies to
many of the largest public companies in the United States.
Jeff received his B.A. from Brigham Young University's Marriott
School of Management, with an emphasis in Finance. He enjoys
waterskiing, working out, and reading. He is actively involved
in the Boy Scouts of America. Jeff and his wife Kari have four
daughters and recently added a son. They reside in Gilbert, AZ.

D. Bradford

Brad oversees the day-to-day investment management of client accounts and is a key contributor to our firm's success in developing sophisticated investment strategies for high net worth investors. Prior to the formation of Watts Gwilliam & Co., Brad spent 5 years working for Merrill Lynch as a Wealth Management Advisor. In this capacity he developed strict investment disciplines for clients centered on his core belief in Strategic Asset Allocation. Before working at Merrill Lynch, Brad covered the Midwest region for a national mutual fund company and also worked on their trading desk.
Brad received his education from Arizona State University's
School of Finance. He enjoys golfing, running, camping,
woodworking, coaching his children's soccer and little league
teams, and volunteering for the Boy Scouts as the local
Scoutmaster. Brad and his wife, Jo, are third generation Arizona
Natives and have six children.

David B. Watts

Dave helps individuals with
large single-stock positions, business owners, professional
athletes, and other high net worth clients develop and implement
financial plans and strategies. These strategies include wealth
transfer plans for concentrated stockholders and business
owners, tax minimization with employee stock options, cash flow
management, and risk management. Dave co-developed “Your Life
Incorporated”, a financial plan used by professional athletes in
the management of their personal financial lives. Prior to
starting the firm, Dave had been with Merrill Lynch & Co. where
he worked for 5 years in the Los Angeles area and 1 year in
Phoenix.
Dave received his BS degree
from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young
University where he played on the Varsity Football team. After
receiving his BS degree, Dave continued his education at the
University of California Santa Barbara where he received his
designation as a Professional Financial Planner. Dave and his
wife Lori have five children and reside in Gilbert. Away from
the office Dave enjoys sports and photography and gets to the
beach for surfing as often as possible.

Kevin J. Berk, Director of
Alternative Strategies

Kevin is responsible for
developing and managing relationships with outside Institutions,
Broker Dealers, Investment Advisors, Foundations, and Pension
funds. In this capacity, Kevin assists in the development,
implementation and ongoing management of alternative strategies
and is the link between Watts Gwilliam & Company and it’s
institutional clients. Kevin entered the securities industry in
1993 with Sutro & Co., eventually working as Vice-President of
Investments at Prudential Securities. Since leaving Prudential,
Kevin has been directly involved in the capital markets, making
investments in such companies as i-Memories, Become.com, Billeo
and Arizona Heart Innovative Technologies, where he currently
serves on the Board of Directors.
Kevin received his degree
from Arizona State University in 1990. He enjoys rock climbing
and is Co-Owner of AZ on the Rocks – Indoor Climbing,
Inc.-Arizona’s largest indoor climbing gym. He is an avid poker
player as poker combines two of his favorite things-psychology
and probability. Kevin has four children and is very active in
their schools. He was Co-President of the PTO for 2 years
(2007-2009).

Jeffrey Fryer

Jeff helps clients achieve
their goals of attaining financial independence through
Strategic Asset Allocation. Knowing that every client is
different, he looks for unique, customized solutions. Prior to
joining Watts Gwilliam & Company, he spent almost 10 years with
Charles Schwab and Company. At Schwab, he worked with both high
net-worth and active-trader clients. Jeff received numerous
awards for outstanding service and performance. With Schwab
Institutional, he was a relationship manager for Independent
Advisors managing client assets in excess of $3 billion. While
there, Jeff learned the importance of quality financial advice
built on trust and integrity and of always putting the clients’
needs first.
Jeff earned a Bachelor of
Science degree in Finance from Arizona State University. Away
from work, you can usually find Jeff playing golf or training
for his next triathlon. He is also a closet chef who enjoys the
creative outlet that cooking provides. Other areas of interest
include reading, movies, travel, coaching youth sports and
participating in various social and charity committees. Jeff is
married with three Labradors.

Mark Vest

Mark’s role with the firm is
in the area of business development with a focus on individuals
with concentrated stock positions as well as investors who are
looking to generate additional income from a diversified
holding. This is done through the Watts Gwilliam & Company
proprietary investment strategy known as IPOM (Income Producing
Options Model). Mark conducts web seminars pertaining to the
mechanics and potential benefits of income generation on large
single company stock positions.
Mark is also active in
developing long term investment strategies for clients that are
consistent with their needs, goals and circumstances.
Prior to working as a wealth
manager, Mark spent 25 years in sales and sales management
positions with corporations in the medical / surgical industry.
Mark received his MBA degree
from the Arizona State University with emphasis in marketing and
finance. Mark also holds a BS degree from the University of
Arizona in business. Mark enjoys golf, tennis, and other
athletics. His real love is spending time with his wife and
family.
